Now you can sign up for our classes via PayPal. And we recommend you do so since they sell out fast. Below you'll find the most current schedule along with payment instructions.

All classes are $20 unless otherwise posted. Classes are free to dues-paying members of Madagascar Institute. So pay your dues! To become a dues-paying member, all you have to do is pay $40 a month and show up and help out sometimes. Participate. A little. And get along with ShopKat. Yep -- it's just that easy.

Madagascar Institute is located at 217 Butler Street, between Nevins and Bond in Brooklyn.
Take the F/G trains to Bergen Street or the N/R/etc to Atlantic/Pacific station.
Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 7-11ish and Sat 3-9ish and by appointment.

Classes are $20 unless otherwise stated. If you are a dues-paying member of Madagascar Institutue, classes are free. So pay your dues! Dues are $40 per month or $7 per day. If you sign up for two $20 classes we will count it as your dues payment for one month.

When you check out, don't forget to tell us which class you're signing up for. If any classes sell out before we have a chance to post it on this site, you will get a refund.

We will not refund your money if you register, pay, and fail to show up without cancelling a day in advance. Sorry, but there are people waiting in line behind you, and we don't owe you any money if you just flake out on us. Don't flake.

The shop hours are Tuesday and Thursday 7-11pm and Saturday from 3-9pm.
The shop is open to anyone who wants to pay dues and work.
Remember, you are always free to come down and learn by being a monkey on someone else's project. It's a good way to learn. Sometimes there's beer.
